It’s felt like it’s taken ages for spring to actually arrive this year weather-wise and now it’s nearly summer, but here are some photos I’ve taken in the garden over the past few months.Continue reading
I haven’t posted anything garden related on here since spring so I thought it was about time I did a garden post for autumn. The leaves are changing colour but there are still plenty of flowers around in the garden.Continue reading
The weather is so lovely again this week so I decided to have my dinner outside in the garden this evening (bacon, fried bread, microwave chips, ketchup and cress if you were wondering), when a moth walked across the path not far from where I was sitting, so obviously I went inside to get my camera…Continue reading
It’s actually National Gardening Week this week (run by the RHS) so what better time to update you with all the plants I’ve been planting in the garden over the past week or so. We actually got a lovely delivery of spring plants from Otter Garden Centre last week (it really made my week finding them online to buy!) it was like a mystery box style selection of plants with bulbs and compost… so here we are, new plants and a part two blog post of spring in the garden this year.Continue reading
It’s been over a month since I last posted anything on here but today I am back with another garden related blog post… this time full of flowers that are (or have been) flowering around the garden for spring (along with a few wildlife photos as well).Continue reading
I’m trying out something a little bit different to my usual ‘(insert season here) in the garden’ blog post today… autumn – in the garden, in the dark! Last month I wanted to take a quick photo in the garden when it was dark and decided to use my selfie light, then I thought why not see what a flower comes out like? And loved the result (if you want to see that one it’s on my Instagram) so when I had to go outside for something this evening as it was getting dark I thought I’d try and get a few more photos with my selfie light – this is the result.Continue reading
Okay so we might be very nearly in autumn now but here it is, my summer in the garden blog post, featuring plants, flowers and more general zoomed out photos of the garden than I’ve ever posted on here before… plus a collage of wildlife photos just because.Continue reading
If you haven’t already seen it, I posted a spring in the garden blog post just over a month ago, you can find that here – Spring Flowers In The Garden 2019, since then more plants have come out in flower so I thought I’d do another post – a part 2, this one with more of a wildlife theme to it too.Continue reading
It’s spring which means it’s gardening weather again, yay! Last year I did a spring in the garden blog post but didn’t post it until towards the end of spring whereas this year I’ve decided to do a post a lot nearer to the start of spring… so, on with the spring photos.Continue reading
I thought it was about time I did an autumn in the garden blog post, I did do a post full of photos of autumn plants last year, you can find that here – Autumn-ful Of Photos. This year my post is going to be focused more on plants generally around the garden this autumn rather than just sharing photos with an autumn aesthetic… though some photos do of course still have that too.
I already did a Spring In The Garden blog post earlier this year so I thought it might be a good idea to do a summer one too, especially since yet more plants have been added to the garden recently (we’re really getting underway with the garden transformation now, I mean it’s possible it’s actually, maybe nearly finished!)
Spring is one of my most favourite times of the year, from the bulbs that start growing to the other plants that grow and start flowering again. Some of these have been added to the garden recently and others have been here for a while. I did a similar post in the autumn which you can find here Autumn-ful Of Photos but first, on with this post!
