This is the first ARC I’ve got that’s by an author whose work I already love (two of my most favourite books are I’ll Take New York and Take A Look At Me Now) so I was super excited to be approved to read this on NetGalley.

When I first read what the book was about I definitely thought it had a spooky feel to it – the basis of the story being centred around the night of Halloween when an entire group of villagers went missing. What happened, why did they all disappear?

Zookeeper is a free verse poem, written by the author to give advice to his daughter starting college, using analogies in nature to impart his advice.

A proposal, a break up and a visit to the village she grew up in, returning to a place and people that she was once so close to, that’s where the story starts for Faith. This is a lovely story of two people being brought back into each others lives after being torn apart by circumstance many years earlier, can they really find their way back to one another now though after spending so long apart?
I’ve been adding more books to my to read list again recently so today I thought I’d share with you the books I’ve been buying, there’s a mix of fiction and non-fiction here. I did a similar post a while ago which you can find here A Book Haul so these are all ones I’ve bought since then, over the past few months.
This is the first time I’ve joined in with a reading prompt from the Blogger Book Nook, the first month I joined I think it was towards the latter end of the month so no time to read a new book and then last month the book I would have picked was one I’d already read and not a new read but this month I had a couple of books on my to read list that would easily fit in with this prompt so I decided to get reading and join in. Plus it’s the perfect time of year for this sort of read too.
I recently went on another book buying spree (when there’s such good offers on at The Works, how can you not!) I’d also gained a small amount of money on their loyalty card which I wanted to use up. I still have books on my to read list from what I bought last year that I haven’t yet read but as any reader knows, that’s never enough of an excuse not to buy more.
A Christmassy book review for another Blogmas post, because it’s an eBook I don’t have a paper/hardback copy of the book to take a photo of so I decided to include one of my photos of St Ives here instead.
