The Sims Freeplay Country Cottage Redesigned House Tour

The Sims Freeplay Country Cottage redesigned, the front of the cottage

The Country Cottage I unlocked in last month’s quest on The Sims Freeplay is lovely with its snowy surround, flowers and wintery trees, so today I’m going to share with you a redesigned house tour of it.

The quest had some really great items to decorate the cottage with too, some of the items shown here are also from the recent Live Event Tudor & Scholar and Influence Island Season 59: Sew Far, Sew Good.

If you’re someone whose been visiting my blog for a while, you might remember when I used to share The Sims Freeplay house tours on here (this is going back around 5-7 years ago now). After all this time though, some of those images are still getting the most impressions on my Pinterest, even though the blog posts for them no longer exist. So I thought why not share some of my latest houses on here again.

I did actually stop playing for a while, but back in August I re-downloaded The Sims Freeplay and started a new game. I feel like I started playing again at just the right time because they had a “Freeplay Replay” Live Event which meant I got some of my favourite items back like the Marble Square floors which is my absolute go-to for bathroom floors. Between that and getting items as part of different houses, I’ve managed to get back quite a few items I once had. Now if only they would bring back the yellow sports car in a future update and the garage decor items… please?!

This Country Cottage I’ve redesigned is a one bedroom two-storey house with a mezzanine, sewing room and computer room upstairs, and various rooms downstairs including a utility room, with a pink washing machine and tumble dryer!

The pink suitcase cat bed and the sofa shown here were from a pack I bought from the store recently, the Seal Point Ragdoll cat (shown later in this post) that came with it is absolutely adorable.

The kitchen is still one of my favourite rooms to decorate in houses, how lovely are the rose gold items here?!

I remember when I started playing back in the day, thinking how great the piano was and how much I wanted to unlock it in the game but the piano with the decor on here is even cooler.

Now onto the upstairs…

The pink towels in the bathroom here are such a me vibe!

The Sims Freeplay Country Cottage redesigned, outbuilding and gazebo

The Country Cottage came with a second house out the back but when I was redesigning it I decided to add an outbuilding with seating and an open doorway onto the garden instead.

…And there is the cat I mentioned before.

I had fun using the winter shrubs to create pathways around the garden, the purple flowers along the side wall are now up there with some of my favourite ever flowers in the game. The gazebo is another lovely item too!

Redesigning houses is something I really enjoy doing and have done ever since I used to play, it doesn’t mean I don’t like the houses I start off with because I often really do, I just like putting my own take on them.

I recently started a new account to share some of my houses and other moments from gaming over on Instagram, if you’d like to follow me on there – @toriagamerbelle.
