Plants & Wildlife – Spring In The Garden Part 2

If you haven’t already seen it, I posted a spring in the garden blog post just over a month ago, you can find that here – Spring Flowers In The Garden 2019, since then more plants have come out in flower so I thought I’d do another post – a part 2, this one with more of a wildlife theme to it too.

I noticed the plant in the top right was flowering when I was outside taking photos around the garden just over a week ago, the top left photo is of the blue star flower, the bottom left plant has been non-stop flowering since we planted it last year (how amazing is that?) the bottom right photo is of a tulip!

Oh hey there wood-pigeon, he or she came and sat on the fence when I was outside.

wood-pigeon and pink flowers

The wood-pigeons have taken to sitting in the blossom bush a few times recently, pecking around at any leftover blossom and since it’s near the back door I’m pretty sure this is their way of trying to say ‘more sunflower seeds please’ haha the birds do like trying to get our attention when they want more food. I did get a video as well that I’ll probably add in with other wildlife clips and upload to my YouTube channel at some point.

This flower is so cool! I think it’s a rhodedendron?

poppy and a blue-tit on a camellia

Love the colour of this poppy, we got this one last year and this is the first year it’s properly flowered. The blue-tit’s have been hanging around our garden a lot recently, it’s great when they visit the garden.

This is like our own little bluebell wood in one of the flower beds.

Did you watch the gardening vlog I uploaded to my YouTube channel last month? A Short Gardening Vlog from when I was weeding one of the garden areas.

I know it’s been a while since I last posted anything on here (nearly a month!) but my dad’s been in hospital – he is still is so it’s a bit chaotic here right now and I haven’t really had a chance to post on here.

Beautiful flowers, thank you so much for sharing . Living in the desert our landscape is so different and I miss the the beauty that does not involve a cactus.

It’s lovely when the birds are singing, Mr blackbird often hangs out on our chimney singing, I even heard him when I was out and on the phone to mum at home the other day, he was singing so loudly! Definitely love the outdoors too. x
