As it’s National Lipstick Day today I thought I’d share my collection of lipsticks with you on my blog, there’s a selection of my top 10 favourite lipsticks towards the end of the post as well.
This was a post I actually wanted to do last year but I hadn’t started posting on this blog by the time it was National Lipstick Day so obviously I never got round to posting it then. There’s a few in this lot that are technically past their ‘you should only use this x number of months’ date as well which I’m not actually using anymore, at least one of these made it into the favourites section (the NYX one for example) simply because it’s been one of my absolute faves – I may repurchase this one at some point.
I decided to do a couple of photos of all the lipsticks together then separate them into two different groups to do a couple of more close up photos, one of the Seventeen lipsticks (there are rather a lot) then one of the other brands… So up first is my collection of Seventeen lipsticks. I bought so many of the Stay Pout ones!
Next up is one of other brands (except for the MAC ones from the Snow Ball Mini Lipstick Kit since you can pretty much see them all at the front of the first photo) so here we have Maybelline, NYX, Rimmel London, No7, Soap & Glory and M&S Limited Collection lipsticks.
The lipstick I’ve owned the longest is probably Seventeen’s Pink Posey, that’s also one of my most favourites too. The newest lipstick in my collection? The Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker one in the shade Nude Edition which I got as part of the Soap & Glory set Foam And Away that I recently bought, I’m going to be doing a review post of that on here soon actually.
…and here’s a top 10!
(From L-R) Row 1: No7 Pillarbox, No7 Iced Pink, Seventeen Stay Pout Kiss Me Quick, Seventeen Pink Posey, NYX Violet Ray. Row 2: MAC Mini’s Ruby Woo Flat Out Fab and Party Commencing. M&S Limited Collection Mallow and Maybelline New York Fairly Bare.
I’m really into pale pink lipsticks at the moment and have been for a while now actually, I think they’re great to wear, especially in the summer time. I did also do a post on Autumnal Lipsticks last year if you would like to check that one out too (I’m very much a fan of berry lipsticks as well). My two favourite reds though have definitely got to be from No7 and MAC, these are brilliant. If I’ve learnt one thing from doing this post though, it’s that I really do have quite a lot of lipsticks.
What are your favourite lipsticks?

Oh my goodness! Wow, this is amazing both in writing and in the sheer number of lipsticks you have. I love it!!
Thank you Llama. 🙂
Swooning over that super dark red shade! I love lipsticks on others, but I feel weird when I wear them myself. That probably means I haven’t found the right shade, so I’m going to have to give a few of your recommendations a try!
I used to be like that about make up in general until I got used to wearing it. Good luck with finding a shade you like. 🙂
I actually don’t even have lipstick.. lol.. For some reason alot of colors don’t work for me so I tend to stick with pale pinks or nudes.. This collection though!!! I need it!?
Pinks and nudes are great too though, to be honest I surprised myself a bit with just how many lipsticks I have here.
Wonderful post! I did not even know it was a national day until I read this!
Thanks Kari. 🙂
Do you have a lipstick for every day of the month,?? Great post
I quite possibly have haha, thanks Jay!
