Summer Flowery Nail Art

I’ve been meaning to do a flowery nail art design since back in the spring so I thought it was about time I gave these a go this evening, especially since it’s practically summer now I decided to pick these three colours which I feel have a nice summery vibe about them.

Nail polishes used:
Rimmel London Go Wild-er-ness, Sweet Retreat, Pillow Talk
Barry M white nail art pen
17 clear nail polish for the top coat

I started off painting my nails with a couple of coats of Rimmel London’s Go Wild-er-ness which is such a pretty purple colour. Then I added a stripe down each nail, alternating between Sweet Retreat (the pink one) and Pillow Talk (the blue one).

Next I drew on the flowers with the Barry M nail art pen and added dots to finish off the design. Like I often do when I do nail art I also added some clear nail polish as a top coat.

I’m really pleased with how these turned out in the end, I was going to do alternating nail colours on each nail instead of the stripes down each one but I’m glad I ended up doing them like this, I used to enjoy doing a two tone nail art like this a few years back. What do you guys think?
